The Club Trésors de Champagne brings together 25 Champagne winemakers who share a commitment to excellence from vine to wine. The cuvée Spécial Club reflects their personalities and terroirs.
Founded in 1971, the Club Trésors de Champagne is the oldest association of artisan winemakers. Each member who believes that the year's vintage deserves this label of excellence submits a blending proposal before bottling. Their sample of clear wine is then blind tasted by an official committee of five wine experts. If the wine is accepted by four of the five tasters and obtains a minimum score of 15 out of 20, it can then be bottled in the precious Special Club bottle. A second tasting before marketing will confirm the proper development of the vintage.
In 2011, Champagne Duménil signed the charter of commitment of the oldest association of winegrowers, created in 1971: Le Club Trésors de Champagnes. This exclusive club brings together just 25 artisan winegrowers committed to shared values, in order to progress together in the face of tomorrow's challenges. United around the preservation of their terroirs and their expertise, the cuvée Spécial Club, a cuvée of excellence, reflects their standards, their personalities, and their terroirs. Approval is granted (or not) after a double blind tasting by a committee of experts.

The Club Trésors de Champagne is made up of 25 Clubwomen and Clubmen, recognized for their excellent work, and chosen amongst the best Champagne estates. The only organization in Champagne to select its winegrowers according to uncompromising criteria. Being a member of the Club Trésors de Champagne also allows the production of the most demanding Champagne cuvées, symbols of the expertise of the winegrowers and their terroirs: the Special Club cuvées!
The club's mission: To bring together Champagne winegrowers to exchange ideas, help each other, and offer wines of excellence that reflect their high standards, their personalities, and their terroirs, while facing the environmental, cultural, social, and economic challenges of tomorrow. The Club Trésors de Champagne has four core values defined by its artisan winemaker members: excellence, passion, conviviality, and commitment. Upon joining, each new member must sign a Clubman/woman Commitment Charter based on these four values.
